HHS Releases Guide to Medicare Enrollment and Claims Submission

The Department of Health and Human Services recently released an informational booklet to help providers navigate the Medicare system. Specifically, the booklet contains helpful guidance on wide range of issues relevant to Medicare providers and suppliers including enrollment, private contracts with Medicare beneficiaries, Medicare claims, deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments, advance beneficiary notices of noncoverage, and billing requirements. Links to additional provider resources are also included in the publication.

Although the booklet will help providers find quick answers to many common questions in a more readable format, Medicare enrollment and billing questions are often complex and require the assistance of qualified legal counsel. Should you or your organization have any questions about Medicare enrollment, claims submission, or billing, please call the experienced health care attorneys at Mellette PC at (757) 259-9200.
